TWENTY THOUSAND LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA (1954) - DVD
Starring James Mason, Kirk Douglas and Peter Lorre. The classic Disney Science Fiction film based on Jules Verne's novel. A professor, his assistant and sailor end up stranded aboard a super-powered submarine headed by a violent pacifist (?)! Of course, the classic giant squid attack is a highlight. A sheer delight in everyway. The look and nautical feel of the film is still a wonder. Incredible acting by all involved. Mason is dynamite as the cerebral, distracted and powerful Captain Nemo. Too bad Disney removed the ride based on this film from Disney World, always was a fave of mine! An unbelievable amount of extras....I won't even go into listing them, their longer than this whole description. Two discs with speciail featurettes, documentaries...on and on!
