BLACK PIT OF DR. M (1959) - DVD
This could also be titled: All Heck Breaks Loose at the Asylum. There's weird experiments with life and death (moonlighting by the hospital doctors). A ghost-zombie of a death--subject, and a Phantom oft he Opera twist too. An inmate splashes acid on a hospital employee's face and he become hideously scarred (and homicidal). It sounds like a crazy mix (and it is), but it's filmed with much shadow, darkness and atmosphere. Very, very creepy. A south-of-the-border spook show. In Spanish with optional English subtitles.
