ALICE IN WONDERLAND (1949) - DVD

Stars Carol Marsh, Stephen Murray and Ernest Milton. A bizarre European version of the classic fantasy with creepy stop-motion puppets mixed with live action. It was filmed in 1949 and not released until 1951 in the US where it was squashed by the release of the Disney version. This is far from the Disney version with some very odd humor and unsettling scenes that might scare kids. A film oddity that has drifted into relative obscurity.
