John Carradine is great as the murdering artist/puppet-maker. He's cultured, suave and a tormented killer of women. A cat and mouse game with beautiful photography. One of the best films ever to come out of PRC Studios. One of director Edgar Ulmer's best since THE BLACK CAT.
