EDGAR G. ULMER: THE MAN OFF-SCREEN (Documentary) A 77 minute in-depth look at the mysterious life of the low-budget filmmaker Edgar Ulmer. The man who brought you the controversial BLACK CAT (1934), THE MAN FROM PLANET X, DETOUR and scores of others. Interviews include Roger Corman and DETOUR star Ann Savage who is quoted saying that Ulmer "could take a rat and make Thanksgiving dinner out of it." Low budget genius.

ISLE OF FORGOTTEN SINS (1943) Stars John Carradine, Gale Sondergaard, Sidney Toler, Frank Fenton, Rita Quigley and Betty Amann. Weird South Seas tale with John Carradine laying on the ham as a tough-guy sailor. Gale Sondergaard is a....well, she is in this and as usual she puts in an outstanding performance. Sidney Toler (Charlie Chan) is a deceptive sea captain. Directed by cult hero Edgar Ulmer (THE BLACK CAT). Real cheap production...but what a cast! You can notice that the "ocean" is about 3 feet deep in the PRC studios!
