A group of explorers discover, what they think, is a giant precious opal. Bad news is that it's not an opal, but an egg of a giant, destructive, radioactive monster! The monster is called Barugon and begins to rip Japan apart. Luckily, the friendly, giant monster Gamera takes on the evil creature in an attempt to save Japan.
