Early talkie with ventriloquist Erich Von Stroheim in perhaps his most hateful role. He is a wife/girlfriend abuser and becomes totally unhinged as his dummy seems to take on a life of its own. An early psycho movie and maybe one of the first modern tellings of a "dummy" having a mind of its own....and, an evil one.
