ISLAND OF LOST SOULS (1932) Stars Charles Laughton and Bela Lugosi. A great horror flick that was banned in England for years. No one will top Laughton as the seedy-genius who turns beasts in to man-beasts on a remote island. Young Kathleen Burke won the role of the leopard woman, literally. She won a contest to be in the film and is terrific.
New high-definition digital restoration of the uncut theatrical version (with uncompressed monaural soundtrack on the Blu-ray edition)
Audio commentary by film historian Gregory Mank, author of Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff and Hollywood's Maddest Doctors.
