LOST PATROL, THE (1934) - DVD

Stars Victor McLaglen, Boris Karloff, Wallace Ford, Reginald Denny and Alan Hale. An interesting study of characters and how the drama unfolding around them takes its toll. A small group of British soldiers in World war I are making their way across an endless desert. Their leader is killed by an enemy bullet and the troop tries to go on, no longer knowing their direction. They find a deserted small set of buildings surrounded by the enemy -- unseen just over the sand dunes. The British troop begins unraveling and Boris Karloff goes totally bonkers. A wonderful, intense story on film.
