12:30 PM - MOVIE: THE MYSTERIOUS DOCTOR  (1943) Star John Loder, Eleanor Parker and Bruce Lester.  This movie has one of the creepiest scenes from 1940s cinema.  A walking headless corpse through a graveyard.  It's basically a wartime espionage film in a little British village.  A strange mystery surrounds characters that meet in a little country pub.  A real fun programmer from the 1940s with lots of fog-shrouded scenes.

1:30 PM MOVIE: THE VAMPIRE (1957) John Beal as a doctor addicted to a bat serum that transforms him into a hideous vampire. Jekyll/Hyde meets Dracula. aka: THE VAMPIRE.  Also stars Kenneth Tobey of THE THING.

10:00 PM - MONSTER KID MUSIC at MONSTER BASH: Mark Statler. Kick back and get thrown back in a time we were all kids and songs like "Monster Mash" was on the radio and THE OUTER LIMITS was on all our TVs. A rockin' good time to be had by all ages of Monster Kids. Mark has put out a series of music CDs, including one that has Caroline Munro, Veronica Carlson, Martin Beswick, Suzanna Leigh, and Yvonne Monlaur called THE HAMMER GIRLS with songs written by his brother Theron Statler.

11:00 PM - MEXICAN MONSTER NIGHT: THE BLOODY VAMPIRE (1962). Hey it might not be totally cohesive, but it has some great atmosphere and is really spooky in some scenes!  Creepy looking with super photography.  Dubbed in English.  Free tacos passed out before the film, while supplies last.

12:30 AM - MOVIE: BLOOD OF DRACULA (1957). Stars Sandra Harrison, Gail Ganley and MONSTER BASH guest Barbara Wilson as one of those crazy, fun students.  Teenage vampire movie from the 50's.  A young girl is thrown into a girl's school and is experimented on through hypnotism by a derranged staff member.  The result is the soul of a vampire being transplanted into the young Sandra Harrison.  Nasty eyebrows and some really scary underlightling make for a fun film!

11:00AM - TV SHOW: THE GHOST OF POTTER'S FIELD (1973). It's the Halloween season...and time to time travel back to 1973 and this creepy TV show that was part of CIRCLE OF FEAR (GHOST STORY). A doppelganger ghost is always scary!

12:00 NOON - MOVIE: DARK INTRUDER (1965) Heralding in the Halloween Season, it's DARK INTRUDER. Imagine a cross between H.P. Lovecraft's cosmic horror and THE NIGHT STALKER.  Stars Leslie Nielsen, Judi Meredith and Mark Richman. An ancient monster from another time is committing murders in San Francisco during the 1890s.  Foggy and atmospheric as the dark cloaked creature kills again and again.  Nielsen is a student of old dark religions, assisting the local authorities...and getting too close to the truth.  Originally made for TV, then released theatrically.

1:00 PM MOVIE: THE BRIDES OF DRACULA (1961). One of Hammer films best looking, wonderfully acted and exciting films! A young woman ends up in a castle with an imprisoned vampire. She unwittingly frees him and all heck breaks loose. Peter Cushing (as Van Helsing) is on the case chasing hissing vampires! Terrific.

2:30 PM - MOVIE: THE MYSTERY OF THE WAX MUSEUM (1933). A perfect Halloween season film. Lionel Atwill is a sculptor who tries to save his work when a the building owner wants to burn the museum for insurance money. Atwill is knocked unconscious and left to die. He survives...now completely insane. He uses real dead bodies to mold wax over for his new exhibits. A horrifying climax with a great "unmasking" scene with help from the lovely Fay Wray. Hosted and introduced by Michael Adams.

4:00 PM - MOVIE: BURN WITCH, BURN (1962). Stars Janet Blair, Peter Wyngarde and Margaret Johnson.  A really frightening version of the classic story "Conjure Wife."  About a school master's wife who secretly practices good witchcraft, to fight the forces of impending evil over an English college.  Blair and Wyngarde (he played a ghost in THE INNOCENTS) are excellent! This was made earlier in the 1940's as WEIRD WOMAN, with a totally different approach.  This one is solemn, moody and keeps the fear growing right through the film.

5:30 PM - MOVIE: HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER (1958). Stars MONSTER BASH guest Gary Clarke! If you know about the history of classic make-up artist Jack Pierce...this could be almost his story!  A great make-up man is kicked out of his studio.  In this guy's case, though, he goes nuts and creates real monsters utilizing his TEENAGE FRANKENSTEIN and TEENAGE WEREWOLF make-ups!

Plus, don't miss the lovely MONSTER BASH guest Barbara Wilson at the beginning of the film! Martin Kosleck plays a twisted, reclusive Nazi scientist living on an island with his experiments.  His experiments?  Flesh eating bacteria that chomp up human flesh like nobody's business.  An odd mix of people get stranded on the island by accident -- boatman, Hollywood starlet, assistant and, later, beatnik.  Kosleck begins a game of cat-and-mouse with the intruders, applying his science experiment for kicks.  Some REALLY wild scenes and pretty shocking for 1964.
