Stars Ron Randell, Devera Burton and Trevor Bardette. A sickly ship captain returns to a tropical island where he had stolen, and hidden pearls from a sacred idol. A curse was placed upon him that cannot be lifted until the "eyes of their god" are returned to their proper place. The mysterious illness is passed on to his daughter who is traveling with the crew too.
A strange little film based on a Herman Melville story. It rises above most low-budget pictures, but the fringe shows in the use of stock underwater footage. Still a pretty darn enjoyable sea-faring, voodoo tale.
