He's treated like Renfield was as he approaches the castle. In the castle he finds the doctor's daughter to be quite wacked out with some kind of "premature burial" incident in her past. She's convinced that there's an invisible phantom lurking in the castle and after a night in the place, the doctor too, begins to believe...
