THE COLOSSUS OF NEW YORK (1958) Stars Otto Kruger, Ross Martin, Mala Powers, Charles Herbert and Ed Wolff. Ross Martin (from TV's Wild Wild West) is in a tragic car accident. His father, mad doctor Otto Kruger plops his brain into a twelve-foot robot -- Whammo! Instant modern-day Frankenstein. Will the robot have a human soul, besides a human brain? Commentary by Tom Weaver, Larry Blamire, and Ron Adams.
THE UNKNOWN TERROR (1957) Stars John Howard, Mala Powers, Paul Richards and Sir Lancelot. Right off the bat, any movie that has Sir Lancelot in it is okay with me! He's the calypso singer from the Val Lewton films. He's always adds a quirky dimension all his own. This movie also is best remembered as a laundry detergent gone very bad. A woman is searching for her lost brother in the jungles of Mexico....one of those "lost brother" movies like THE CYCLOPS. There is a native legend about a "Cave of the Dead." It's full of living fungus...or rather, well soap suds.
DESTINATION INNERSPACE (1966) Disturbances at an underwater laboratory are investigated and a probe from outer space is discovered. Look out! It's outer space gill men that want to practice their oewn brand of CPR on you. The creatres look like a combination of the Creature From the Black Lagoon and a metallic Christmas tree. Cool.
