A wartime film at Universal wen th heat as on to make patrotic oriented themes and its work wonderfully with the Holmes themes. If you are a fan of the Universal Holmes films, you'll love it; if you're only marginally interesyed in them, it might be dull and overdone for you. For me, it still can stir as Holmes tries to recover a British agent with vital war secrets! Restored and what a great cast!
