STRANGER ON THE THIRD FLOOR (1940) - Blu-Ray

Stars Peter Lorre, John McGuire, Margaret Tallichet, Charles Waldron and Elisha Cook Jr. A reporter witnesses the scene of a crime, but doesn't actually see a murder take place. His testimony sends an innocent man to death row. Then the real events begin to fit into place when a creepy, quiet man is observed by the reporter's girlfriend. The strange, quiet man (played wonderfully by Peter Lorre) haunts the young woman. This film features one of the most wild, horrific dream sequences. One of those low-budget features that rises far above what it was intended to be. A really great mix of mystery, film noir and chiller.
