CANARY MURDER CASE (1929) - DVD

Stars William Powell, James Hall, Louise Brooks and Jean Arthur. A stage star that is using and extorting society men is strangled to death in her apartment. A handful of men are suspected. Detective Philo Vance is assisting the police in unraveling the case and discovering the murderer. Many men had motives. Vance employs psychology and gets closer and closer to the truth. An early sound film that comes off a bit stage-like, but very good for it's day in new technology.
