Flesh eating bacteria that chomp up human flesh like nobody's business. An odd mix of people get standed on the isand by accident -- boatman, Hollywood starlet, assistant and, later, beatnik. Kosleck begins a game of cat-and-mouse with the intruders, applying his science experiment for kicks. Some REALLY wild scenes and pretty shocking for 1964.
